Who we are
Pixflint is a digital studio based in Kerala, India. This policy covers pixflint.com and the conversations you start with us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp. When we say “we” or “us”, we mean Pixflint, which decides how your personal information is used.
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy go to hello@pixflint.com.
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the technical data any website needs to load.
- We use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the project.
- No cookies and no advertising trackers. We measure visits with cookieless analytics. We don’t sell your information.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
When you use the contact form: your name, your email address, the services you pick and the message you write.
When you email us or message us on WhatsApp: your name, your email address or phone number, and whatever you choose to include in the message.
When you visit the site: our hosting provider processes the technical data your browser sends with every request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How you use the site: we use two analytics tools to understand how people use pixflint.com so we can improve it. Vercel Web Analytics counts page visits. PostHog records the pages you view, what you click, where you came from, your device and browser, and your approximate location from your IP address. PostHog also records sessions, a replay of how the page looked and moved during your visit, and any technical errors the page runs into. Anything you type into a form field is masked and never recorded.
We don’t set cookies, use advertising trackers, or store anything in your browser. Vercel Web Analytics counts visits with a privacy-preserving hash instead of a cookie. PostHog keeps a random identifier in the page’s memory only while the page is open, so nothing is saved on your device and a later visit can’t be linked to this one. Everything on the site, including analytics, loads through pixflint.com.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk through your project.
- To prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
- To deliver the work and keep in touch while we do, if we work together.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
- To keep the records the law requires, such as invoices and tax records.
We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you. We only add you to a mailing list if you ask us to.
Our legal basis
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on:
- Steps before a contract, and the contract itself: answering your enquiry, sending a proposal and delivering the work you ask for.
- Legitimate interests: replying to messages people send us, keeping the site secure, and measuring how it is used with cookieless analytics.
- Legal obligations: keeping accounting and tax records.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers who process information for us, under their data protection terms:
- Vercel hosts pixflint.com, processes the technical data described above and runs Vercel Web Analytics.
- PostHog provides product analytics and session recordings. Our PostHog project is hosted in the European Union.
- Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- Google Workspace hosts our email at hello@pixflint.com.
- WhatsApp, run by Meta, carries your messages if you choose to contact us there. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to that service.
We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
International transfers
We are based in India, and our providers process information in the United States and other countries. That means your information may be handled outside the country you live in. Where the law requires it, these transfers are covered by the safeguards in our providers’ data processing terms, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and follow up. If we work together, we keep project correspondence for the length of the project, and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting or other legal obligations require.
Technical data, analytics and session recordings are kept by Vercel and PostHog for a limited period under their retention settings. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it.
How we protect it
The site is served only over HTTPS. Only the people at Pixflint who handle your enquiry or project can see your messages. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us, and we’ll tell you if a breach affects your information where the law requires it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- delete your information
- stop contacting you
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights:
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom: to restrict or object to how we use your information, to receive it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
- United States, including California: to know, correct and delete your information. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
- India: under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to access a summary of your information, to correct or erase it, to have your grievances addressed, and to nominate someone to use these rights for you.
To use any of these rights, email hello@pixflint.com. We reply within one business day and complete requests within the time the law allows. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Children
This site is for businesses. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Other sites
Our links to Instagram, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp take you to services we don’t control. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
